And it has the next McKenna book coming along.
And, since a fan of the McKennas has requested a list of the other books in the Family, here they are.
Happy Summer...Read on...
The McKenna Chronicles

1902: At the turn of the 20th century, seventeen year old Brynn McKenna and her older brother, Boone, struggle to keep their family of rowdy siblings together after the death of their parents.
Vol. 2: Two Marriages: 1902: As Boone marries and leaves Brynn to raise the remaining siblings, Brynn decides to marry for money in hopes that love catches up. Meanwhile, in the little town of Dooley, a mystery begins that will take decades to unravel. And an ill-fated venture will release a chain of events that will end in tragedy.
Vol. 3: Peacetime: Times are changing in Dooley and the world is moving toward the Great War. Brynn and Jackson are brought face to face with Jackson’s past, Boone and Schuyler are grappling with what Cale Carson once called the Carson family’s “bad blood”, and Kevin is faced with another challenge after the death of his son.

Prequel 1: Walking the Water: The complex history of the Old House Bunch is revealed in the story of Brynn’s mother and father. In the 1800’s, Morgan McKenna moves his wife, Amy and their children to the north woods of Wisconsin to the uncertain and often harrowing life of the logging boom towns.
Prequel 2: Watching the Land: Morgan has decided to do what he said he would never do; move his growing family to the hills of North Georgia to try farming. Vol. 4: Wartime:
1918.
The War to end all Wars is raging and the McKenna men have marched off one by one to do their duty. No one could imagine the horror of this war or foresee what the effects would be on those who fought, those who came home, or those who would be left separated forever from those they love .
Vol. 5: Outsiders:
1921
It is the beginning of the Roaring Twenties. In the aftereffects of the war one family is separated, children are faced with unforeseen responsibilities, and a virtually unknown member of the clan arrives. It’s a new world, with flapper dresses, the Charleston, and a new lawman who lands on a collision course with more than moonshiners when he meets the McKennas.
Vol. 6: Insiders:
1923
There has been a gruesome murder in Dooley and Max Roundy’s three man police force is struggling to unravel a confusing myriad of clues. Jerusha, however, is terrifyingly certain that she knows exactly who the murderer is, and why. There will be other upheavals within the Family, although not for the same reason, as teenage love blooms and hearts are broken. Those are secondary to Max, however, who begins to wonder if the murder will ever be solved.
Vol. 7: No Regard:
1924
Deputy Gideon McKenna is ready to settle down. He discovers a girl that could be the one in a rather unusual way, as she is the apparent victim of a crime. As time goes on, however, his boss, Marshal Max Roundy, begins to have his doubts as to whether the girl is telling the whole truth, or whether a crime has actually been committed at all. As the investigation seems to stall, Max’s relationship with his most trusted deputy, and his wife’s cousin, threatens to be torn apart.
Vol. 8: Unexpected:
1925
It is the dead of winter and as gloomy a winter as several members of the McKenna Family have had in many a year. Amelia is confronted with a devastating revelation after the death of her father, an accident is very nearly fatal, and Gideon has decided to swear off women altogether.
As winter gives way to Spring, however, as the Family settles into new, unaccustomed roles, Life proves true to form and sends the unexpected their way. Whether the unexpected is for the best, however, remains to be seen.
Vol. 9: No Secrets:
1929
The Summer is starting off with a celebration at another McKenna wedding. But the next several months are to bring a barrage of challenges as the country moves toward what will be called The Depression. Sudden tragedy will change Stephen and Amelia’s lives; Carson will make decisions that may ruin his, while Max is torn between Family loyalty and his duty as town marshal. As the 1930s loom, it will prove to be a forerunner to the most difficult decade yet.
Vol. 10: Unfinished:
1929
After the difficult summer that has just past, Max suddenly receives an intriguing letter from Chicago. What follows will take the story of the McKenna Family from the hills of North Georgia into the ganglands of the big city…and possibly bring that life back to Dooley. When the worst happens, it will take all the Family’s fortitude and faith to carry on.
Vol. 11: No Promises:
1931
It is summer and Carson is coming home. His return is a welcome relief after the tragedy of the preceding year, but it will also spark a clash that will rock the Big House. Max, too, is unknowingly on his way to a meeting with someone from the Family’s past who will upset his sad, ordered life. Neither man is in any position to make promises to anybody, but there will be those to whom their word will mean everything.
Vol. 12: Unacceptable
1932
With his brother getting married, Dakota figures he has nothing left to lose. He is living life his own way, despite what anyone thinks, and he is liking it that way. Things will change drastically, however, when Joe also, steps out on his own.
Max, too, is living his life at least in an orderly way, until a telephone call brings two elements of his past that he thought he had left behind, crashing together. Both he and Dakota come face to face with unacceptable, and possibly deadly, situations.
Vol. 13: No Questions
1935
Dakota has made a decision. Little does he know that, although his plans may not come about as he thought they would, there are bigger changes in store for him that will
rock his world forever.
There is a disastrous event for Stephen, a time of freedom for Amelia; while in Dooley, Max is about to be faced with a long dead memory. His integrity will again be put to the test and, along with it, his choices about Carrie will also be challenged.
Vol. 14: Unforeseen:
1935
As the Great Depression grinds on, the McKenna Family is hanging onto its land and each other.
Dakota has a secret to tell Tallie that he knows will probably jeopardize their relationship. Max will have a revelation of his own handed to him while Jordan, already worried about Jerusha’s long absence in France, will meet a stranger that may threaten everyone’s world.
There is much that the McKennas cannot foresee in the year and then the decade ahead. The events to come will either tear them apart or forge the bonds even stronger.
After Pearl: The WWII Years
Vol. 1; 1941
It is 1941 and what Jordan had been dreading is about to come to pass. When it does, the little town of Dooley, Georgia, the McKennas and the country will be changed forever.
From Pearl Harbor to Burma, from the tiny town of Toccoa and the beginnings of the Airborne Division to Operation Husky in Sicily, the McKenna men will leave their families and homes to go off to war.
They are the warriors, but the wives, parents and children they leave behind are warriors too, and what happens to the men overseas will affect the ones at home for decades to come.
After Overlord: The WWII Years
Vol. 2: 1944
D-Day has begun and with it is the beginning of the end of WWII. The McKenna men are deep in the middle of it all, their families are fighting the homefront battles, and everyone knows that the worst may be still to come.
There will be astonishing finds to be made, losses almost too great to bear, and gains that no one could foresee. When the war is finally over, some men will return to find their families radically changed, with challenges
they never expected.
They will have to, again, reach inside themselves, turn to God, and continue as the Family they know that they are.
Farm Town:
Postwar Vol. 1
1946
The war is over, the men are home and Dooley, Georgia is getting back to normal. Dakota is finding out that normal, however, always means change and, with growing children around, change can mean complications.
Along with children moving toward young adults also will come changes for Cathy, still deep in grief. It will mean adjustments for Jordan, and Carrie stepping out of her comfort zone, as well as Kenna getting the surprise of his life.
But mostly, it will bring a terrifying foreboding as the Family comes together to save one of its own before it’s too late.
True Reality:
Post-War Vol. 2

Everybody knows that Rob and Tuck are headed for trouble. The Family has seen it coming for a long time, but no one imagined what the boys would get up to as Jordan prepares to leave on a journey that may reveal more truth than he is prepared to face.
In the space of a few months, reality will come to light for Jordan, Kenna’s odd little family will be threatened with separation, and Carrie’s work at the law off will solve a series of mountain murders…maybe.
And while Rob’s father is away, the boys will have to decide to meet a challenge or two.
